13th July 1951.

A cold dull day with strong N-NE. wind but no rain or drizzle where we were. Driven in car by Mr. Arnsby to Edramucky at ca. 10 AM. Walked up the right bank of the Allt a-Mhoirneas burn which drains Lochan-a-Lairige & across more on to crags on hillside about 1/2 a mile SW. of outlet of the Lochan & spent all dan climbing from one to another, but the only existing plants seen on the crags were five of Woodsia alpina. Lots of the more generally distributed alpines, including Epilobium angustifolium, Hieracium prenanthoides, Salix reticulata, S. nigrescens & S. arbuscula.
