Psithyrus rupestris, fresh ♀︎, seen in garden, at Foxglove on 4th & on Columbine on 5th.  - See note of 16th June, p.78 ->

A ♀︎ Bombus lapidarius seen on Anchusa a few days earlier.  Bombus terrestris ☿ seen on 4th & B. lucorum ☿ on 5th.
Many Crabro varius seen.

A very fine day after heavy rain in early morning.  Much hot sun & no wind.  Dull after 4 P.M.

In afternoon drove to Woodend, on S. side of the new reservoir, 1 mile E. of the new Blessington Bridge Co. WI.  Collected by sweeping in two areas.

1 = side of tributary stream between road & reservoir about 100 yards west of triangle of roads (where turn car!).  New ground.

2 = under trees, by hedge, & along shore of reservoir (where often collected before!) about 300 yard W. of station 1.
