Head +/- cushion-shaped as in Aspilota semicompressa S. & G.; propodeum & tergite 1 smooth & shining, the other very short & deeply incavate at base dorsally; rest of abdomen laterally compressed - knife-like; ca. 3mm.; terebra curved up & projecting beyond anus; stigma dark; &c. A. praecipua Marsh. ♀︎, ant. 27. A. micacea sp. n. 2♀︎♀︎ (Type & paratype! AWS. 9.9.1952) runs to minutissima m. in key but differs in elongate antennal seg. 4 which is longer & slenderer, &c.
