19.

12th Sept 1952.

A fine dry day with cloud & hot sun bursts, but strong, cool, NE wind. Friday.

In afternoon drove to Tinnode, on Blessington road, Co. Wicklow, & walked up the old road crossing the Cupidstown ridge to Kilteel. Collected by sweeping along sheltered N. side of road, in plantation along hillside N. of road in line with top of Tinnode estate, & in Glyceria-filled small pond on W. (Kilteel) side of ridge & S. of road - the two latter localities are just over the Kildare border, but as I had only one sucker with me the insects taken all lumped together & labelled "Tinnode, Co. WI." 3.30-5.0 P.M.

Viola Riviniana with quite a few flowers.
