19th Sept. 1952. (Friday).

Another cold, bright day, with NE wind, but more generally sunny than 18th.

In afternoon drove to top of Woodtown hill & walked up to the Hellfire Tea Room & collected in the old Killakee estate (= 1) now a "National Park" & to a large extent replanted by Forestry Dept., but many deciduous trees planted as well as conifers. Nevertheless a lot of the vegetation, including trees, goes back to the period of Killakee's magnificence in the last century.

I have never collected here previously! On way back to car swept edge of turnip field E. of road (= 2) for a few minutes, but cold & windy & not much taken.
