2nd July 1953.

Another hot sunny day after a misty morning, but not quite so hot, except in shelter, as a fresh E. breeze blew all day after 10 AM.

Took (Daisy & I) 10.30 AM. bus to Comrie Bridge & walked to Taymouth Castle woods on left bank of R. Tay below Kenmore, Mid Perth. Collected into three suckers as follows:-
1 = roadside from Comrie, especially under oaks & along the beech avenue parallel to the R. Tay, where also birch, alder, oak, Mercurialis, & much Epilobium (Rose Bay!): 11.30 till 1.0 PM.
2 = same ground in reverse direction. 2.0 till 4.0 PM
3 = marshy ground below high steep bank of former course of R. Tay. 4.-4.15 P.M.
All labelled Kenmore!

Met Marcus Graham & Nora Schepens in beech wood at 1 P.M. for lunch & returned with them to Comrie to catch 5.15 bus from Aberfeldy back to hotel at Lawers.
