Many bumble bees seen in back garden during sunny intervals including ☿☿ & very fresh ♂︎♂︎ of Bombus pratorum.

Len Williams, from Tilehurst, Berks arrived by mail boat from Holyhead at 7.30 AM.

In afternoon went to Glenasmole, Co. DU, & swept a little in various places but mainly on the flat between the road & R. Dodder in first quarter mile inside gate; & a few alongside the lower reservoir & path.

A warm day of cloud & hot sun & no rain.  In afternoon drove, with Len William, via Phoenix Park & Lucan to Louisa Bridge & Deey Lock on Royal Canal, Co. Kildare. 

Swept Mr. Mitchell's plantation along canal, as usual, & a very few Hymenoptera taken along tow path between lock & plantation.
