1st June 1954.

A beautiful sunny day, like the previous days, but strong, chilly, very dry, NE. wind: not an insect day one would say - yet quite a lot out in shelter.

In afternoon drove to Manor Kilbride, Co. WI., & walked up to summit of Dowry. On way back collected by sweeping (a little) & by looking for Parasitica on Ulex, Rowan (in full flower) & particularly on one small oak in full sun & shelter about 150-200 feet above the road; a few also taken on beech near the road but above it. This = 1 & labelled "Dowry".

Later had a few sweeps in the triangle between the three roads - especially around the quarry at SW. angle = 2.

Taken at 1. W. slope of Dowry, Co. WI. 3.30-4.30 P.M.
