A fine day on the whole, but afternoon mainly cloudy & with strong chilly northerly wind.

George home for last week-end prior to his wedding on 22nd June, to Margaret Dodds of Ballyroney, at Newcastle, Co. Down.  In afternoon he drove Daisy & me to Henry Bridge on the Grand Canal, 243 feet, at W. corner of the Lyons House estate where I collected for an hour at NE. & SW. sides of the canal bridge, though very windy at NE. & most insects taken along tow-path at SW. point, Co. KD.
