2nd July 1954.

A poor day, glass still falling & wind backed to nearly S., with rain nearly all day on distant peaks of Ben Loyal & Ben Hope to SW.  No rain with us until 1 PM. but then a prolonged & heavy shower & frequent skiffs later with very heavy showers at 5 P.M. & more later.  As I had unfortunately left the handle of my net on the moors where we sheltered from a shower on 1st we had to retrieve it today & so spent another day on the promontory of Creag Ruadh between Invernaver & Torrisdail.  Spent a large part of this time looking for Ajuga pyramidalis - stated by Grant Roger to occur amongst Juniper scrub in this area but no definite spot mentioned & although we searched the large area of scrub facing Torrisdail & saw lots of interesting plants, we saw no sign of any Ajuga.  Besides the plants seen on 1st July we saw others including one lovely clump of Cirsium heterophyllum 3 ft. high & in full flower (spotted by Daisy);
