Stopped at about 2 P.M. about 3 miles E. of Durness & near Rispond, where the road runs close & 150 feet above a nice sandy bay with area of blown sand & Marram Grass, [[?slips]] & grassy slopes. I think the rock is limestone, but it is drenched with blown sand & Dryas growson all the ledges to within six feet of the sand & Carex capillaris on the grassy slopes. Rubus saxatilis, Sax. aizoides, Ivy &c. are also on the cliffs. Swept the Marram Grass
