Dear Georges:

Have just had a rather interesting visit of Mortimer Brandt, who intends taking a trip West and who would like some of our paintings, with the understanding that he will tell me beforehand whom he intends showing them to, and in a few days will give me a sort of itinerary with names. However, he mentioned in Chicago, the Dahlbergs, and I told him I thought you had been directly or indirectly in touch with them, and that I would ask you. Please let me hear from you on this topic.

As long as I am writing shop to you, I think you will be interested to know that the rumor circulates here that Kramarsky is supposed to be the purchaser of the second Lautrec of the van Horne auction - the one that brought around $27,000 - the other one, which fetched $30,000., having allegedly been purchased by your good personal friend Maurice Wertheim.

Lilienfeld telephoned that he had had no success with what you sent him, but that his client was interested in an important Matisse. I didn't answer him anything, leaving it to you to take up this question with him when you return, should we than have the one at Jacqueline's.

I hope Edna and you are well and having a swell time, and with kind thoughts to you two,

Yours,

(Germain Seligman)
