In reply to your communication dated Hd. Qrs Asst. Commissioner State of N.C. Raleigh N.C. April 9th 1866 I have to report that but two of the Asst. Supts on duty in this Central District have ever become responsible for Sanitary Stores viz The Asst Supt. Sub. Dist. of Raleigh and the Asst Supt. Sub. District of Goldsboro . From the first named officer all returns of property have been properly made and forwarded, and none are now due, from the latter returns have been received at this office, but in such an irregular and imperfect condition that they have been returned for correction before being forwarded to the Asst Commr. As soon as they reach my office they shall be forwarded to Bureau Hd. Qrs without delay
