The evidence of variation in this star is not clear. [[underline]] probably [[/underline]] variable [[/margin]] Star [[underline]] 31 [[/underline]] certainly varies but is difficult to estimate on most plates. The variation is probably less than a ^[[half a]] magnitude. It is fairly well seen on plate A2156 and A3429 Star [[strikethrough]] [[underline]] a [[/underline]] ^[[32,]] [[/strikethrough]]^[[38]] is certainly decidedly faint on one plate ^[[A5731]] though usually the same. On Mr. Robert's plate taken Feb. 4, 1889 Vol. 1 p. 59)it is bright. Also on his plate taken Jan. 15, 1896 it appears to be bright. On the plate taken Dec. 24,1888 it is as usual on the Bruce plates Note [[underline]] March 12 [[/underline]] The evidence does not appear certain. This star had better go on the suspected list.
