Corner of Ash & 7th st. In Baraboo 12:50 M.

Feb. 17, 1902
This noon I head a Pine Grosbeak call in the next block. I got my opera glass and went up there.
[[marginalia]] weather [[/marginalia]] It was warm and sunny.
[[marginalia]] note [[/marginalia]] The bird flew towards me giving the [[underlined]] er tur kee [[/underlined]] almost like the [[underlined]] per-chic-o-ree [[/underlined]] of a Goldfinch.
[[marginalia]] flight [[/marginalia]] It lit in a tree but before I could get a good look at it, it flew wildly and erratically, swift as an arrow towards the south west.
[[marginalia]] companions [[/marginalia]] It had been feeding with a flock of Evening Grosbeaks but did not seem at home with them. It kept up its wild call all the time.
