Hemlock Bluffs  4:25 P.M.

Feb. 23, 1902
This afternoon Mat Engeln and I were over by the Hemlocks in a White Oak tree.  It was warm and sunny.  I heard the scream of a Hawk but thought it was a bluejay but soon afterwards saw it fly.
[[marginalia]] actions [[/marginalia]]  It showed a great deal of white while flying.  It was a Redtailed Hawk.
[[marginalia]] first migrant [[/marginalia]]  The first migrant of the year.  When we tried to come closer it flew over behind the Bluffs.  It kept screaming all the time.
