Woods near fairgrounds in Baraboo 7:50 A.M.

April 15, 1902
This morning I was down in the woods near the fair grounds. Bluebirds were very thick.
[[marginalia]] mated [[/marginalia]] They were mostly mated and kept in pairs. 
[[marginalia]] feeding [[/marginalia]] They flew to the ground after insects. 
[[marginalia]] habits [[/marginalia]] The males sailed a great deal while flying. 
[[marginalia]] song peculiar [[/marginalia]] Heard one give his song separated like [[underlined]] wheur derrie wheur [[/underlined]].  
[[marginalia]] females fight [[/marginalia]] One male paid some attention to one of the females and another came up and they fought about it savagely, chasing each other and rolling and tumbling in the air.
