67. Otocoris alpestris praticola.  Art Rudy.  Fields near John Seils North Freedom, Wis. iris brown; upper mandible and tip of lower black shading into white at base. tarsus and claws black.  Length 6 3/4 wing 4 1/8 tail 2 9/16 [[male symbol]] ad. stomach contents seeds.

This morning after breakfast Art Rudy and I went over south near the Iriquois Mines.  A strong south east wind was blowing but it was cold work going against it.  We were after Prairie Horned Larks.  Beyond John Seil's we heard a few notes and finally Art saw one but missed it.  Then we started through a plowed field about thirty feet apart watching carefully.  Hearing a low note behind us we turned around and Art saw and [[strikethrough]] a [[/strikethrough]] shot it.  It had crouched down while we passed and we had overlooked it.
