On our way home we saw another Lesser Scaup Duck but in the lake and Stout shot at it but it escaped although hit. Another was seen and we chased it quite a distance. It dove whenever we approached it and athough it did not go far it eluded us by changing its direction. I shot once but it dove before the shot reached it. Then by hard rowing we got over it and as it came up slowly I shot it when its head appeared. The tail feathers were much worn.
