quiet but with one or two sometimes changing position. Robins & Bluebirds were also present- At last nearly all flew toward the east in straggling bunches across the pond.

Shot a Baltimore Oriole here in a Choke-cherry tree and there were also a few Tennessee Warblers present

It was windy and I followed up along the creek. Scared up a Green Heron several times and finally shot it. It flew quite swiftly. A Great Blue Heron came over the hill and dropped slowly down to the creek. with stiffly spread wings.

By Grosinske's Orchard I found a flock of Chipping and a few Field Sparrows. They flew up into the trees at my approach in little bunches. I shot two immature birds in different plumage however. One was just completing the molt and was perhaps from a first brood while the other was in full streaked plumage.

By the bridge I saw an English Sparrow with a white patch on each wing and also a light tail It was with a flock and looked quite striking I shot it and found it to be in very poor condition but kept it.
