Tonight after school Mr. Stout and I went down by the water works. In a patch of brush I shot an Indigo Bunting. There were a lot of them here and they were quite tame. I saw them hopping around in brushpiles and looking about entirely careless of my presence. Stout shot one a while ago and we could not make out what it was until tonight. His specimen had no blue whatever on the wings.

Also shot an adult Tenneessee Warbler. All my others are immature.
Saw Juncoes and White-throated Sparrows. I shot one of the latter.
