This morning after breakfast I went over in the Half Mood Woods. Along the river I heard a thin, high [[underlined]]quark [[/underlined]] that reminded me of an Owl. The next instant a flock of about fifteen Blue-winged Teal flew up and went down the river. They circled around and would have passed over me but again I heard the same call from one of them and they turned off. I followed them up but could not find them. They had been on a mud bank. Later I scared up about a dozen Green-winged Teal from the water where they had been preening themselves. Robins were thick all along the river. I shot a fine male
