This morning after breakfast I went over in Will Dickie's Marsh. In a field which was being plowed were great numbers of pipits and a few Horned Larks. I shot one pipit on the wing but could not find it on account of its protective coloration. I saw them sitting around on fence posts and gates preening themselves and hunting around on the ground in all sorts of bare places.
I tried to get a Horned Lark but could not. I scared up
