1907
November 11 Monday.

This morning it was very chilly and grew rapidly colder with a northeast wind until the thermometer reached +32 [[degree symbol]] at ten o'clock. After this there were a number of snow flurries and it was warmer by noon with the ground white with snow. By night it was all gone however. A few flakes of snow fell yesterday and Saturday I saw the first Canada Geese and a large flock of Mallard.
Prof. Dyche brought up a Sparrowhawk [[??]] which Lindsay shot in the morning this seems like an unusually late date for them and I cannot remember seeing one so late before. It was very fat and in fine plumage and I am skinning it to mount.
This morning when I went to the museum I could hear them [[?]] away at ducks up the river. Ed Brown shot 20 one morning at Lake View.
