July 2, 1935.

Mr. Leon Loeb,
Jacques Seligmann & Co., Inc.,
3 East 51st Street,
New York, New York.

Dear Sir:

We acknowledge your letter of July 1 addressed to the President of The New York Times, who is absent from the city.

We thank you for writing to offer us space in your Paris building, but regret to inform you that we have only within the past few months completed a lease for your Paris office which will have some years to run. We are, therefore, unable to give consideration to your offer of space.

Very truly yours,

THE NEW YORK TIMES
