R is not a usual part of FR, apparently; but it may occur, apparently when Fr is almost turning in Ch. (As, for instance, when an Fr-U is succeeded by a brief Fr posture with bill to ground as in choking).

 Choking with actual regurgitation in dispute with neighbor (mate present)

I have received the distinct impression that an outburst of disputing and fighting is often followed by an outburst of sexual behavior (T's and Cop Call) among the participating pairs (or at least one of the participating pairs 4:56

Various hostile disputes followed by rather quick and "erratic" preening movements. The sort of thing that might possibly be considered displacement. Also true of "sexual" T's.

Choking between mates at this stage for instance, seems to be particularly conspicuous and prolonged during attempts at NR, i.e when the birds' bodies are in contact and one is actually pushing the other. Also, to lesser extent, during FB.

The Cop Call may be faster than many Ghk Calls 5:36

Choking is quite remarkably infectious. At least as much as
