May 24 IV [] !!! [[/lfet margin]] Three versions of L call. L proper (continuation of O, shorter and deeper), LCh, L Alarm Call. Also Charge Call. L proper, LAC, and Charge Call seem to always follow O. LCh may also follow O - but also often precedes it. OL-T | OL | LCh-OL-T-T | OL-T | O. T. O. T. | OL. OL-T-T Panic 7:40. The most intense I have ever seen. Bird began, after flying up, to give a call I have never heard before. Peculiar. Almost as if produced by musical instrument, far away C (flute?) "Hreeeee-Hreeeee-Hreeee ..." I think. Breaks up almost immediately. P back as usual [[3 images]] fighting aerial posture, with attack call also hovering with Attack Call OL-T-T-T. | O. OL-T | O.O.O. LCh-OL-T 7:50. O. OL-T. | OL-T-T | O | OL-T. | O.O.O. OL-T. O.O. LCh-OL-T-T. O.O.O.O.O | Slight pause 7:53. Doesn't affect birds in my vicinity, and quickly breaks up anyhow. Attack Call during very brief Soar. [] ! [] M.C. as presumed female joins P. (Same size as P). Main points of interest are that female landed literally right on top of P. And then P, stood in U with bill apparently closed, and gave Charge Call. Female flew off 8:05 B4 back, I'm glad to see.
