Arrive Franklin's small island colony 5:40 p.m. Clear. Warmish. Moderate northerly wind. Nests near blind have disappeared. Nests near blind have disappeared. Gulls take rather a long time to settle. Some flying overhead with Alc. 

Most down 5:44, but still quite shy.
Panic 5:48 Breaks up quickly.

Young chick being fed., without trace of M. (chick apparently too young to stand) Again. Again, different nest. 
Panic again 6:01. Again. Breaks up.
