Arrive same blind 3:35 pm. Put into blind by H.H. Warm. North Wind. Ocean cloud. Gulls still somewhat shy.

Newer birds back, alarmed almost immediately.
All these birds doing a great deal of ground Cc.
Young on way back 3:37

This method of entry into the blind seems to be working.

Attacks definitely directed toward head & neck of chick. The chicks are, in fact, very often picked up bodily by the nape and shaken.

when being pecked.

Some of the chicks near my blind haven't shown up yet 3:47 Others have been back a long time.

[] !! [] Adults certainly don't call back chicks with complete M, but it is possible that they tend to give ground CC when chick is absent. This would of course, be very difficult to prove.

Minor panic 3:58. Still centered about blind.

Very dull really, now

[] !!! [] Chick, sitting relaxed, gives D.C. on up beat of head-bobbing or bowing when it begins the DC. But can also do it on downbeat, or without any beat at all.
