July 10 II

Chick bowing to parent.
Apparently with whistle?, or, at least very thin Rasp.

Quickly stops, a few seconds after parent has alighted.

Minor panic 2:35. Breaks up fairly rapidly.

[] !! [] See this bowing again, definitely with Rasp. It differs from the adult O [[ right pointing arrow]] L sequence in being more rapid, much more frequently (almost always) repeated. 2:32.

Some birds still flying around, giving the ALC. Why? Couldn't have seen me, but might have seen blind move.

Rhythm adult Long Call

Very quiet now 2:48

Still very dull 2:55

[] !!!!! [] Redirection attack during pairing. By male attacked [[?]] their Ch after retreat. Ch after unsuccessful, timid, sortee. Also U, O, and Ch, with tail above [[?]] wing-tips. Attacked bird apparently unmated, certainly no mate present on ground. One bout of Ch preceded by brief M.
