Notice repeated silent feedings 3:27

There are still an awful lot of gulls carrying "nest material." Including gulls with well-grown young. Have seen adults make repeated collecting trips, particularly (I think) when they don't feed the young Is nest-building a displacement activity of threatened parental drive?

Relatively long dispute between two birds. One possibly unmated [[male symbol]]. Other the parent at one of the nests near blind. "[[female symbol]]" did many PCC's, quite a bit of Chahuing (in water), occasional OL's, V's, & HF's. Choking in water. This [[male symbol]] couldn't have had a very strongly activated sex drive. 3:50

Chicks seem to give quite a number of notes intermediate between typical h.i. D.C. and juv. Glik sounds. From no particularly type of posture, just pre-attack posture

Dispute between two birds. Certainly not mated. Parents at neighboring nests. (Both have well-grown young). Less aggressive bird (i.e. the one who did not do Glik, and was athe attacked bird rather than the attacker) did reveal bouts of Choking, associated with several OL's, PCC, IT. This ch. also in water. Accompanied by side-to-side shake when bill in water, one turned into drinking. Postural facilitation?

Peculiar chick. Perhaps a day or two older than my oldest gives what sounds like rather long drawn Juv. Glik sounds, in Erect Posture, an adult comes in Then continues after adult, apparently its parent lands. Chick goes down into "freeze" posture continues [[?]] sound adult flies off. Adult back twice. Chick greets it same way, but these [[?]] the Juv. Glik sounds are accompanied by a trace of Bowing, followed by whistles plus occasional FB. This chick doesn't seem to [[?]]] h.i. D.C. Or is it just unusually hostile toward parent?
