Franklin's VII X flew, definitely rather than half, early this morning. This probably means, according to M.M.N. that it is 31-32 days old. July 17 Getting more convinced that bowing or HB with "klioo" is sometimes hostile. All birds, except possibly GR, are giving it. Lower intensity then Rasp. No scapular raising, at least in X. High intensity D.C. when picked up, much as it always was. YS when pecked, and unable to get away, crouches. YS is smallest, most picked-upon, and most aggressive. July 18 Notice that X occas. has scapulars slightly raised when silent, or when crying "klioo." (can't tell what "kind" of "klioo." GR2 suddenly has become very aggressive. Attacking me, "Kaaa" call, attack posture, wings out and down. [[image - sketch of bird in attack position?] Incidentally, the medium Franklin's have become noticeably more aggressive over the last 10 days sometime. Been much the same for the last four or five. July 19 GR2, hungry, real T with H FB.
