Franklins IX

(C) Bowing with "haa" call. Always brief. Scapulars either lowered, or never raised at all.

(D) Have seen rather less attacks on me recently. Still some by YS. As before. Wings out, slightly drooped. Usually the usual "Haa" call (why not AC?), scapulars raised. Head either up or down depending upon attack position.

Have seen no crest raising as in adults. Nor any holding out of carpal joints alone as in adults.

(D) Correction: Scapulars hardly raised at all during attack.

Example. YS attacks me as usual. Then runs away, scapulars raised, with AC call, head-down, wings in.

                                       Friday, July 23

Attack from L-Ruffle with AC.

Otherwise no obvious changes in behavior the last few days.

Some of this HD attack posture patterns look very much like Ch. Quick up and down pumping movements.

Franklin's also may do DC or rather "harr"-like D.C. as "greeting." As well as "kyoo" and "harr."

Again convinced that bowing with "kyoo"s is hostile, in part at least.

YS has crest partially raised in HD "kaaa" performance (can't tell about scapulars, as they are wet)

YS in L-Ruffle with AC, crest raised as above.

Some HD's, by BS, and YS, look much like Ch. With or without Ruffle, (typically without). Tail up above wings. Diagonal
