104 Ramphocelus, Feb. 20, 1962 II Not sure of head shape [[image]] Front half looks all black. Rear half looks all yellow. Somewhat later, I see a juv. or female sitting high exposed. Rather erect. Wings not drooped. Uttering "Tsah tsawee......tsah tsawee........tsawee........tsah tsawee........tsawee........tsah tsawee........tsah tsawee......" All notes rather buzzy, like the TssN's adult males. This may be a "juvenile" form of Tss. No response. Bird eventually flies away. A few minutes later, the A male (who is probably the bird I called "I" yesterday) utters a long series of PN's, Ф's,and NN's in a jumble. 7:30 a.m. A male who has been sitting silently in a tree for some time, suddenly begins to utter many Ф's and NN's when a group of 3 females and/or juvs. (perhaps his family) land in the same tree.
