CORRECTION. A male can utter intermediates between TssN's and soft PN's which are not exactly like (?) without (?)R "Zheeooo" Notes. There are what I called loud hoarse, buzzy PN's before (I think!) Possibly lower intensity than DC notes???

Now, 6:25 A uttering lots of TssN's and (?) with (?)R, relatively little else.

A also utters occasional hoarse "Tetzheeyoo" or "Tzit-zhee-yoo." Presumably 1 TssN followed by 1 (?) without (?)R.

"Zheeooo" type intermediates between TssN's and soft PN's are less strongly bisyllabic than the Dawn Calling "Kheezhoo" Notes. Some of the "Zheeooo" Notes are really hardly more than "Zheeeah".

There are still at least 2 females or juvs feeding in A male's territory without being molested.

All birds much quieter now, 6:35 a.m.

Male A utters mostly (?)'s with (?)R while perched. Then utters series TssN's flying long distance into shrubbery. Then silent. Can't see him,but I think he may have joined mate 6:42 a.m.

Male A apparently pouncing on female or juv. in flight. Then birds loud about 10 ft apart. Male utters (?)R or R. Female or juv does silent G, pointing head & bill upward, toward male(who is on higher branch). Then male flies away. 6:48.

8:10 a.m. Male A still sitting on his stations most of time. But not very vocal. Uttering lots of "low intensity (?)s with R, but little else. I think some of my preceding descriptions (during the last 2 or 3 weeks). Most (but not all) low to moderate intensity (?)'s with (?)R are immediately preceded by a trace of TssN. "Tseetsreeeeyoo." I think I have been calling such patterns "(?)" tout court.

Typically (?)'s are really absolutely compound. (?)'s may be considered
