[[underlined]] Diglossa, [[/underlined]] May 25, 1962, I.

First [[underlined]] [[strikethrough]] aterrima [[/strikethrough]] C [[/underlined]] (or Conebill) songs heard 5:38 a.m. Several birds involved. Then fall silent

First Blue-spot songs 5:45 a.m., when the [[underlined]] [[strikethrough]] aterrima [[/strikethrough]] C [[/underlined]] are silent. First Blue-spot starts by alternating song phrases with [[underlined]] Atlapetes rufinucha [[/underlined]] !!! Then continues song thru [[underlined]] furinucha [[/underlined]] phrases (apparently ignoring latter) 5:47.

Then hear some Blue-spot and [[underlined]] [[strikethrough]] aterrima [[/strikethrough]] C [[/underlined]] (or Conebill) phrases alternating. Then overlapping.

3 times C overlaps A

1 A overlaps C

5:57 Two [[underlined]] [[strikethrough]] aterrima [[/strikethrough]] C [[/underlined]] carefully alternating phrases and bursts of phrases. All early phrases seem to be "Zeewee zeewee zeewee zeewee ..." or "Zeeweea zeeweea zeeweea zeeweea". Then become more warbling a few minutes later.

All the Blue-spots near are silent while the [[underlined]] [[strikethrough]] aterrima [[/strikethrough]] C [[/underlined]] are singing.

6:02 a.m. All local [[underlined]] [[strikethrough]] aterrima [[/strikethrough]] C [[/underlined]] type songs now back to "Zeeweea zeeweez ....."

6:04 a.m. Two "[[underlined]] [[strikethrough]] aterrima [[/strikethrough]] C [[/underlined]]" repeatedly uttering phrases almost synchronously. Then alternately. Then synchronously again.

[[strikethrough]] NOTE: I have not been able to see any of the birds delivering these songs, but I am almost certain that they [[underlined]] are [[/underlined]] really [[underlined]] aterrimas. [[/underlined]] Notes relatively loud & melodious. I think [[underlined]] Conirostrum [[/underlined]] Notes would be [[?]] [[/strikethrough]]

All birds silent 6:09 a.m.

Oh Oh!!! Now there is a single Conebill singing in area where the [[underlined]] "aterrimas" [[/underlined]] were a few minutes ago. See the bird. Song phrases relatively short "Zee wee a wee a". Quite then. When bed begins to sing their phrases it provokes a neighbor to sing also. Two birds alternate phrases. I think
