Working in usual (first) areas below páramo early this morning. Clear, cold, and very windy. Lots of Songs by Lafs. NODWAH. Nothing else of interest.

Go down to "Canaan" ca 8:30. Still lots of [[underlined]] Kniphophora [[/underlined]] in garden. Also lots of Cunis. Plus two or three (possibly more) Aters. Lots of "panes" at Aters by Cunis. Seldom or never pressed home. These panes do not usually bother the Aters in any visible way. (I am sure that many panes must induce an Ater to move on sooner than it would otherwise. But this is the sort of thing that is very difficult to prove.)

Also a few attacks by Aters upon Cunis. These appear to be very determined. Mostly silent. At least one with R. Aters appear to be more stolid than Cunis, less easily irritated, but more impressive or "imponente" when aroused. They are both larger and heavier.

Two of the Aters (both apparently adult) were associating closely. Perhaps paired. But apparently no mutual display.

Working at "Canaan" this morning. Doing some recording – without very conspicuous success. I did,

Transcription Notes:
I am not sure that "Cunis" is correct.
