^[[Ater Scan]] Single and alone. Region fairly tall thick second growth. Bird feeding white cup shaped flowers. Then it Sings. All phrases short Twitters without R's. NOD. No Whitestart or Scan audible. Then bird flies away. Sings again a few minutes later. This time Songs overlap Scan "chuk"s nearby. Shuts up. Ater Sings again. At first, nothing else audible. Then Scan begins to utter "chuk"s not too far away. Long overlap. Then Ater shuts up. Scan continues. Then during next minute or so, Ater utters a few more phrases at irregular intervals. While Scan continues. Complete overlaps. So Scan [[underlined]] can [[/underlined]] begin Singing while Ater is Singing - and Ater [[underlined]] can [[/underlined]] begin while Scan is Singing.

9:00 am. It is getting very warm here.

^[[Ater Scan]] Again, Ater Sings while Scan, 100 yds away, is uttering "chuk" Notes

^[[Scan]] 9:18. Several Scans Singing vigorously. No Aters audible (altho I know that there is at least one present in neighborhood.

^[[Ater Scan]] 9:35. See several Scans feeding same species of white flower that Ater fed on earlier.

^[[211 CC]] 9:45. See pair CC's ^[[two checkmarks]] in hedge. This is area where CC's have been seen with [[underlined]]rufinucha[[/underlined]]s. But now the CC are definitely alone. 4-6 ft up. The 2 birds do not stay close together. Usually at least 20 ft apart. One utters Twitters when landing by itself. One Twitter might be transcribed as: "Ta-ta-see ta-ta-see-ee-yoo". Uttered [[underlined]] very [[/underlined]] rapdily.

^[[XXXII HO]] ^[[CC]] ^[[179 183]] Go on uphill in direction in which CC's are moving See Yellow-faced ^[[checkmark]] ^[[1]] Whitestart 2 ft up in hedge. Now see it is pair ^[[2]] of Whitestarts. Don't see CC's; but they must have joined and passed Whitestarts earlier. Then see [[underlined]] 3 ^[[three checkmarks]] rufinuchas [[/underlined]] in low scrub 40 ft away. Whitestarts join and follow [[underlined]] rufinuchas [[/underlined]]  Group goes downhill thru low scrub. Then I see that there is at
