COMMENTS:

^[[Gen]] There certainly is [[underlined]] some [[/underlined]] hostility between members of the diglossine complex here - although not between spaces of Diglossa itself!

^[[Gen]] As a general rule, I suppose that overt hostility between different species is directly and positively correlated with the amount of competition (for food) between them. Thus, the MSGH tends to feed on the purple flowers favored by Albis more frequently than do the Cys; and, [[underlined]] therefore, [[/undelrined]] it fights with the Albis more frequently than do the Cys.
