3 Mixed Diglossini, Aug. 13, 1967, III [[margin]] Albi [[/margin]] 8:25 am. Watching second growth scrub down hill from where first flock seen this morning. Catch glimpse hummingbird XX flitting by. Disappears. Only a few seconds later, see single ♂ Albi ✓12 same area. Quite alone. Feeds by picking insects off leaves. Apparently ignores pair ✓✓14 check Altapetes (already counted as above) 20-30 feet away. Disappears again During next 10 minutes hear several burst of hummingbirds Song and R's may be by Albi. But never overlapping! Almost too good to be true! [[margin]] Albi [[/margin]] NOTE: Albis here, especially ♂'s, seem to have particularly large and conspicuous white patches, 8:45 am. Hummingbird Song almost continuous now. NODWAH (Rs have stopped) Unfortunately, I can't see the Singing birds. But almost certainly XX (only species seen in this environment in this area). 8:48. See some small hummingbirds (species unidentified) fighting among themselves. [[in margin]] Albi [[/margin]] 8:56 Hummingbirds have stopped. Then hear more presumed Albi R's NODWAH. Stop. Then hear more Whitestart CXXVII Songs. NODWAH. Stop. NOTE:There are not a great many flowers here Certainly I have not seen any Passifloras (yet) [[margin]] Albi [[/margin]] Then more hummingbird Songs and Albi-type Rs. At first not overlapping. Then completely overlapping. Presumed Albi uttering R's while hummingbird continues. Then presumed Albi shuts up. Hummingbird continues Then stops. A few minutes later, hear more Whitestarts CXXVII
