Mixed Diglossini, Apr. 10, 1965, II

[] XCC []
view of it, I see that the wings are sort of brownish. Only the back is definitely green. Bird is quite silent throughout. Not even a CN NOD.
[] XCC Gen []
♀ Redstart is still around, and still alone. She must have a definite territory or range around here. Must compete with the XCC and (otter) Diglossini for insects.

[] BQ []
4:05. There are 2 BQ's in a tree 50 ft away. Probing for insects in dead bromeliad flowers. Silent. NOD.

[] XCC []
4:14. XCC still in same tree as before, still pecking insects off leaves. NOD.

[] Glor []
What has happened to the Glor? I don't see it around anywhere.

[] Colibri Gen []
4:20. There is a hummingbird perched in the Erythrina now. Apparently Colibri coruscans! This species must have almost exactly the same range as carbonaria s.l. They must be major competitors.

[] Bari []
4:23 A bird which is probably a ♂ Bari lands in Erythrina 10-20ft away from coruscans. Latter flies off. A second later the other bird flies off in opposite direction.

4:35 Down the road a bit. See group of 1 sub-adult ♂, 2 juv or ♀, Rose-breasted Grosbeaks. Alone and silent.

[] BQ []
4:40 Several BQs in full voice.

4:45. A pair of tanager IIIs appears. Going from tree-top to tree-top. Definitely alone.

[] BQ []
There is a single BQ in the tree near me. Utter quaint little short R's at infrequent irregular intervals. "Brrrp". The bird is definitely alone. NOD. Sounds not accompanied by special postures or movements. Occasional single "Tsit" Notes interjected.
