COMMENT: Although I am not sure exactly why, it is obvious that the upper border of AS here is a very poor environment for Diglossini. Note, in particular, the absence of both Blue species, which certainly occur 1000 m further down the mountain

Going to start work in the usual place here. Arrive 6:02 am. Still very dark. Heavy low cloud. Looks like rain is coming.

[[margin]] Glor [[/margin]]
First Glor Songs 6:22am. One individual, at least, utters many phrases in rapid succession. With little or nothing in the way of R components. NODWA. (But the Glor phrases overlap Andean Sparrow Songs apparently at random.)

[[margin]] Glor [[/margin]]
6:27. Now several Glors are singing. NODWA

Then Glor shut up. Hear first Atlapetes Whistle Songs 6:30. Also NODWA

There is quite a lot of wind 6:33. Nevertheless, it is fairly warm.

[[margin]] Glor [[/margin]]
6:45am Glors have been silent for some minutes now. I.E. they probably are not in full breeeding condition yet.

But the Atlapetes are still going strong! See a single bird ✓✓35 perched exposed and uttering Whistle Song after Whistle Song. 20-30ft up in tree. Definitely PL. And definitely alone.
