Mixed Diglossini, Aug 30, 1965, IV

[] Gen Glor Coer? LCH []
8:09. See single Glor. Silent. Alone. Feeding on exactly the same flowers as Coer earlier. Glor moves off. Then see single LCH feeding on same species of flower slightly uphill.

[] Scan LCH []
Then Scan appears. LCH attacks Scan and drives it away!

[]Coer? Gen []
8:28. See presumed Coer ✓✓ [[black & blue]] in tree feeding small tubular red flowers. Silent. Alone. Then Glor flies into same tree. Lands 3 ft away. Presumed Coer attacks and drives it away. Attack silent. Glor ✓✓57 [[black & blue checks, blue #]] leaves without resistance. (Note. This presumed Coer appeared just about the same tree as White-spectacled and PL's 20-50 ft away. Possibly it is, or has been, associating with them.)

[] Cy LCH []
Go further up hill. Then down hill again. Arrive back same area 9:07 am. See single Cy ✓✓58 [[black & blue checks, blue #]]. Silent. Alone. Feeding tubular red flowers. 3 ft up. Then LCH appears. Swoops at Cy twice! Each time, Cy just "flinches" or retreats a few inches. Then LCH swoops a third time. Cy flies off. LCH flies after it, in hot pursuit. All this hostility quite silent.

[] Glor LCH []
9:15. All birds apparently absent from area. Then single Glor ✓✓59 [[black & blue checks, blue #]] appears. 2 ft up second growth scrub. Silent. Alone. Apparently taking insects off leaves. Then LCH appears. Flies straight to Glor and drives it away. Glor leaves without resistance. Hostility quite silent (as usual).

[] Glor LCH []
Then 2 Glors ✓✓60 [[black & blue checks, blue #]] show up simultaneously. One chases the other furiously and repeatedly. These chases are accompanied by R-Zazas. Then the apparent winner sings "in triumph." NODWA.
