There still are Bg's in the hotel garden. But they probably are not in breeding condition. At least, I have heard only a few Songs by them this trip.

Going to work in the usual places here. Arrive 5:55 am. Still quite dark. Sky largely cloudy. Looks like rain may be coming (There may be a very fine "drizzle" already.)

First miscellaneous bird sounds ca. 6:07am

First Songs are by Andean Sparrow 6:13. First Glor Song is 6:14. Interjected between between Andean Sparrow phrases. No overlap. Andean Sparrow continues singing lots of phrases. Glor Songs only occasionally at irregular intervals. But all its phrases are interjected between sparrow phrases without overlap.

To my recollection, this is the first place I have ever observed actual song inhibition between Andean Sparrows and a Diglossa Sp.

6:19 Several Glors Singing now. And their Song phrases are coming more frequently now. And Andean Sparrows are Singing less frequently I.E there is evidence that the Sparrows are being inhibited by the Glors as well as vice versa.

6:21 Now the Glor Songs are almost continuous. And the mutual inhibition is breaking down. Some complete overlaps.

Glors certainly are overlapping [?]] Songs at random.

6:23 Now Andean Sparrow is Singing relatively very infrequently.
