Glor(s) have visited this side of the ravine occasionally this morning; they have not gone into the bushes and trees favored by the Cy(s) - in spite of the fact that they visited these bushes and trees frequently a couple of days ago.)

It is my impression that Glors are much less "dominant" than all or most Aters I have seen. (Vizalio the Glor - Blue encounters seen a couple of days ago.) Is this because they also are persecuted by LCH's??? Or are they intrinsically mild???

If both Glor and the (northern) Brun are intrinsically mild, this might explain why they have been replaced by Ater and [[?]] in the course of evolution!!!

The absence of Coers here this morning is not necessarily very significant. They probably are with flock downhill.

NOTE: Thinking it over, I doubt if I have ever heard Coer Songs here this trip. Probably all the "presumed Coer" Songs I have heard have been by Cy. I probably have been misled by the [[?]] high quality of the "taseee" Notes in the Cy phrases.

8:22am. Cys Singing again. At first, NODWAH. Then Scan starts to Sing downhill. Completely overlaps Cy as usual. Then White-spectailed also starts to Sing downhill. For a while, all three species are completely overlapping one another.

LCH back in area 8:33. Nothing else visible at the time. Then it flies off. And immediately Cy reappears and goes [[nito?]] favorite trees. Silent and alone. Then another small hummingbird (juv., probably all other species) appears in same tree as Cy. Cy attaches it. The hummingbird retreats a few feet. Cy goes back to feeding. Then LCH appears. Immediately attacks the other hummingbird and drives it away. LCH persues the other hummingbird for a few feet or yards, and then returns to tree where Cy is still feeding.
