Mixed Diglossini, Sept. 3, 1965, IV

[] Laf []
4:45 pm. Another brief snatch Laf Song. Again NODWAH.

Perhaps the Laf here are in breeding condition.

[] Laf []
Laf Song continues throughout Dendrocolaptid - type R. Then shuts up. Then I hear what sounds like Basileuterus R and Flourish. But the area is generally very quiet here now.

[] Coer? []
4:50 pm. A few yards down road. Hear what sound like Coer Song phrases, uphill. All essentially similar.
"Seeeee seeeeee seeeee seerrza" NODWAH. (This bird almost certainly is in USF.)

[] Coer? []
4:59 pm. More presumed Coer Song. Still NODWAH.

Leaving 5:02 pm. Rain getting worse.

September 4, 1965
Paramo Zumbador

Going to work same area where Lafs were heard yesterday. Arrive 5:45 am. Pitch black. Fog. Cold. Also a fair amount of wind!

Rain also starting!

[] Laf []
First brief snatch presumed Laf Song 6:24 am. NODWAH

[] Laf []
Then some more during next few minutes. Apparently by several individuals. All quite far away. (Individual notes of Songs usually or always faintly "reedy". This probably is characteristic of lafresnayei s.l.)

[] Albi? []
Ca. 6:26 am, I also begin to hear R's. Either Albis and/or flycatchers. Usually between snatches Laf Song. But sometimes completely overlapped by the latter.

[] Laf 12 []
6:36. Now there are several ✓✓ Lafs Singing simultaneously. Overlapping one another at least largely. (Details are difficult to hear. Trees are moving noisily in wind. There also is humming in nearby wires.)

[] Laf []
All Lafs apparently slightly downhill, I.E in edge cleared area.
