8:12. Lafs still singing. Then I hear Cy songs not far away. Laf o Cy songs apparently overlapping completely at random. So this way be characteristics of relatives between the 2 species here!!!

A few minutes later, hear sounds which suggest that mixed flock may be heading back this way. Perhaps Cy is a regular member of the flock???
Rain has been more or less stopped now. But fog is still quite thick. And wind is still strong. And it is cold!

More Laf and Cy songs overlapping apparently at random 8:27 am. It would appear that both species are in breeding condition here now.

Back to general area where Laf dispute seem earlier 8:58 am. Lafs still singing very frequently. And Cy still singing moderately frequently. And the two species still overlapping apparently at random.
This Cy probably is not with mixed flock now.

Cy apparently singing from perches in several different trees. Usually 20-25 ft up. This probably is higher than usual song perches of [[?]] (but probably not all) Lafs here. And the territory of this Cy would appear to overlap those several Lafs (or pairs of Lafs) completely.

9:52. Up by road. Hear more Lafs singing in distance. NODWAH. They are highly motivated now!

COMMENT: Really, the only way in which the Sierra de Merida seems "[[?]]" is in the apparently rigid geographical (and ecological) segregation of Laf and Glor. (Certainly, there are no Glors in the area in which I [[?]] this morning).
