[] Cy Humer ]

Humer-Cy relations may be different from Humer-Laf relations. Former may be less hostile than latter.

[] Laf Cy []
The most typical Cy songs here certainly seem to be like those of the Merida birds.

[] Cy Laf []
Both Cys and Lafs singing not infrequently. No overlaps. But no regular and rapid alternation.

[] Laf []
See "Laf" in flight after singing. Definitely seems to be Laf shape.

[] Laf []
Going down hill 8:40 am. Then up an adjacent ravine. Hear more "Laf" songs.

Leaving 9:15 am.

Back to same area 3:45 pm. Going to work down from road, instead of up. Nothing! So start uphill again. Still nothing. 4:10 pm.

[] Laf []
Then hear brief burst "Laf" song 4:23.

Go up second ravine visited this morning. Hear a few more "Laf" songs from time to time.

[] Humer []
5:05 pm. A single PR Atlapetes appears. Moving thru bushes 9300 ft. Utters of [[a]] few "Seeee"s and "Seee-seeeet"s at first. Then silent. Then joined by single Humer, who lands about a foot away! Both birds quite silent. PR Atlapetes flies on after a minute or so. Humer does not follow.

[] Humer []
Humer fed on flowers while it was near Atlapetes.
