[[circled]] 36 [[/circled]] Eastern Cordillera Colombia Mixed Diglossini, I Apr. 15, 1965 Mts. above Bogatá Arrived one of the higher places I worked before 6:00 am. Quite light. Slight rain. The name of the mountain is "Guadelupe" [[Guadalupe]] [] Humer 14 Cy [] 6:12 am. Watching group of two Eucalypts (the common Andean species) Rather isolated from rest of scrub. Full of birds. Hummingbirds. Also at least 2 Humers ✓✓14 and 2 Cys ✓✓ (probably more of each). Possibly others. The birds are not being careful to keep apart. Lots of chasing. 3 times Humer supplants --> Cy!!! Once with "Sraaaaaa-za-za". No Songs. [] Humer [] Lots of chasing back and forth among Humers. With R-Zaza. I think that there must be at least 4 Humers in this tree. [] Coer? Humer [] There also is a dullish blue Diglossa in this tree. Probably juv Cy, or a Coer. Keeping rather apart from the Humers. [] Gen 22 [] All the Diglossas are feeding on the Eucalypt flowers. CORRRECTION: There must be at least 10 Humers ✓✓✓✓✓✓✓✓22 here. [] Humer [] Whole are trees probably 30' x 20' x 15'. Constant moving around. Constant chasing. But also 2 or 3 inds. may feed within 5ft one another without overt hostility for minutes on end. [] Humer [] More R-Zaza's. Also a couple of brief bursts of Humer twitter Song 6:28. [] Gen [] The Humers certainly are ranging all over the tree 10-40ft above ground. The Blue Diglossas, however, seem to be sticking pretty much to the upper half of the tree. [] Gen [] This could really be described as a "flock" of Diglossas.
