Mixed Diglossini, Apr. 15, 1965, III [[circled]] 38 [[/circled]]

[] Humer Coer []
least some of the Humers. Fly away into adjoining natural scrub from time to time. Watch one Coer feeding in low scrub 1-3 ft above ground. Apparently looking for insects. Coers probably are more insectivorous than Humers.

[] Coer II [[purple]] 9 [[green]] []
Once a single Firebelly lands in low scrub about 15 ft from Coer ✓✓9 [[checks and 9 in green]]. Apparently follows [[–––>?]] Coer for a minute or so.

7:10 am. Rain stopped. Activity in Eucalypt also is much less than before.

7:13. Here are some very long (straight) tailed hummingbirds fighting among themselves in the tree too.

[] Coer Cy []
The Coers also tend to stay near the tops of the Eucalypts. But possibly not as much so as the birds identified as Cys earlier.

[] Coer Humer []
I think I may have seen several cases of a Coer "semi-supplanting" Humers. I.E. a Humer leaving a perch just a second before a Coer lands.

7:24 Can hear Firebellies singing in distance.

[] Humer Coer []
7:28.A couple of Humers fly into same low scrub where Coer seen earlier. NOD.

7:30 Leaving Eucalypts and going uphill to see what I can see.

[] Humer 26 []
Humers ✓✓26 feeding on tubular red flowers in scrub. Also apparently looking for insects

Fog starting to come in 7:35.

[] Laf []
7:37. Hear what is almost certainly Laf singing uphill. Approximately only one bird. Only sings for a minute or so.

8:35. Coming back downhill toward Eucalypts, begin to see

The 9 and 2 checks are green - so described that connection.
